Welcome to the March edition of our newsletter! We like to keep residents and families up to date with what’s been happening in the home.
What a busy and joyful month we’ve had! March has been full of fun activities, special celebrations, and lots of laughter shared together！
Monthly Highlights
One of our standout celebrations this month was St Patrick’s Day, where residents enjoyed wonderful music, dancing, and treats. The drinks trolley even made a special appearance, adding to the fun! It was a lively and cheerful afternoon, and a great time was had by all.
We also had a beautiful and calming Chinese Tea Culture Experience, where Suki introduced residents to traditional tea culture while dressed in a stunning qipao. Residents enjoyed tasting Pu-erh and Tieguanyin tea, creating a peaceful and culturally rich afternoon filled with new experiences and smiles.
Another lovely celebration was Mother’s Day, where we enjoyed live music, drinks and delicious scones. The afternoon was made extra special with a heartfelt speech from our Betty – a truly memorable moment for everyone.
We were also delighted to welcome The Puppet Gang this month. Residents had a fantastic time meeting the puppets, singing along and enjoying the lively performance.
In addition, we had two very special visitors — two adorable ponies! Residents thoroughly enjoyed interacting with them, and the visit brought plenty of smiles and joyful moments for everyone.
Activities & Daily Life
Throughout the month, residents enjoyed a wide range of activities including:
- Games such as Buzz Wire, X and O’s, football toss and cup stacking
- Music therapy sessions with lots of singing and toe tapping
- Gentle exercise and wellbeing activities
- Cinema Club with snacks and good company
- Arts, knitting and creative sessions
Special Moments
We celebrated Bob’s and David’s birthdays with cake, friends and a wee whisky – two lovely occasions enjoyed by everyone.
